Yes.

As for some real advice, don't get anything bigger than a 600 for your first bike. Setting the budget at $7k means you won't be getting a new bike, either; even the new 600's are ~$10k, and that's cash payment. If you're able to, why don't you save up another $2k on top of the down payment you'd be making and buy a privately sold used bike cash? 4-5 year old 600's are going for $3-5k. You might even get lucky if you find someone that just needs money fast; it's what happened to the guy that paid $2500 for my bike =[

As far as insurance goes, I was paying around $620/yr on liability for my '01 CBR600.

Also, please save another grand on top of the bike and buy yourself a good helmet, gloves, and leather jacket. I've had a helmet save my life before, and had I been wearing my jacket and gloves a few months back when riding my friend's r6 (on cold tires lol), my right arm and both hands wouldn't be covered in road rash scars.

white venom is too high class for a busa

I suggest a BMW HP2 sport

this will not only fill your need to be a label flasher but you will have 130BHP @ 85lbs tq with a curb weight of 400lbs... NOW THAT'S A STARTER BIKE!

plus to top it off when you spill it we can all laugh at $23+K going down the tube on account of your parents wallet

just my opinion...

don't forget the nitrous either brah!

Dear Gilbert,

How are you? I am fine. I'm writing you to let you know your a moron for thinking about buying a crotch rocket as your first bike. That's how people end up being ground beef on the highway. I suggest buying a smaller engined bike to learn with; 200-400cc would be adequate. After a year or so of learning, you'll be ready for a more powerful bike.

Love,
Craig "Mustangcat" McGee
