Super windy yesterday. I was getting my teeth cleaned at the dentist when power went out. Luckily it came back on after 10 minutes or so.

I asked if they had b/u generator and they said no. What if they were in the middle of a root canal or something?

Really windy yesterday. I had a client meeting about 25 miles north. 3 blocks before the office I noticed power was out; luckily we had power at the office. But when I left, all the stop lights were out. MOST people understood a 4 way stop process was to be followed. Still had some douchebags who just drove on through.

Got home and no problems, just some limbs down. Wind died down by the time I went to bed, and then this morning at 6:30 "blink" and the power went out.

That meant a problem for me getting to work. Cars were both in the garage - we rented a place and have a detached garage with no doors or windows except for the door that the car goes in. And with no power, no way to open the garage door (yes I know all about how to pull the lever and release the garage door opener - but that only works if you can get in the garage to begin with).

Landlord came over and set up a generator for us so we could get the cars out. Left it running so that the pipes don't freeze and the sump pump runs.

It's ****ing snowing again!

I need to drive to Edmonton tomorrow, it's going to suck. But there is unlimited free booze at the end of the journey so it will be worth it
