Ohio Cruise - Saturday, June 4th
#2
Count me in - I'd have no problem starting mid-morning & finishing mid to late afternoon. It'd be nice to not have to get up too early, & still have time to do something in the evening w/any folks I'm crashing with. I've got connections in Dayton, Toledo, Cincy & Cleveland so I'm flexible on route. As mentioned in the other thread, I know some 55mph twisty back roads, but we'd be swinging East from C-bus & then north towards Canton/Akron, then Cleveland to do so, which might alienate some NW Ohio folks. Closer to I-71 might be easier for them. Whatever we want to do is fine, just let me know.

Fridge,
Why don't you plan the Cbus to Canton leg of the trip. I will plan the Cincy/Dayton leg. I tell you what, if you want, I will meet you someplace in Dayton to get it started, I am orginally from there and my parents still live there, so i have a place to crash on Friday night.

I was thinking about taking 161/SR 16 out of C-bus (likely using I-670/I-270 to get there, depending on where in C-bus we'd be starting) to Newark, and then hopping on SR 79 North. We'd take that into Coshocton County & then get on SR 541 East into Coshocton. There's a Bob Evans there that could serve as a lunch/rendezvous point, if needed.
We'd then get back on SR 16 East, which then becomes US 36 East. After that we'd head north on SR 93 to Strasburg, make a quick dogleg onto US 250 South (or East, whatever) to I-77. We'd then take that north into Canton.
Let me know what you think, I can modify (or scrap & start over) as needed. I was assuming people don't want to be on interstate's all day, & this would take us through some back country, though hit will take a bit longer.

Can we get a list going to see who's all participating so we can better plan the route? This might make it easier to meet up along the way. Also, try talking to moderators in each section of the forum so we can post that we are having this cruise respectively so more people may see it. Let's be honest, not many people frequent this section so it might be better if we can publicize this a little more. I've seen this done before and it was successful. Let's make this as good as we can!
here's an example of the thread I'm proposing:

Started a new sticky for a list. I will say, there doesn't appear anything else other than a car show in lancaster... http://www.torinogt.com/ , on that Weekend. I also did post something in columbusracing.com , but so far no takers. I would think that since this is a new section, that participation would be slow. I did post in the PA section for western PA mustangs. Also posted the "meeting" section of this forum. Any other places I missed?
