Do they run a different brand of oil? If so, it would be nice to see the difference.

yeah, some do,
only about 1/2 of the cars in our class are running Amsoil
and most of them buy it from me,

I know one runs Joe Gibbs , but he changes it every week, so those results would not be comparable.
I need to find some one who is willing to run their oil 2-3 weeks.

we run ours 3-4 weeks, depending on how many laps the races are.

also I want to see what air cleaner they are running so I can compare the airborne contaminates in the oil.

This sounds like an infomercial....kidding

Yeah, I would love to see the results of a competitive oil running 3-4 race weekends instead of just one. I bet you can't talk them into that one. They don't trust their oil that much.

Would of been interesting to see a UOA iof my 9 second Monza. It was a 477 BBC with a Flat Tappet Cam. I changed out the Valvoline VR1 every 50 passes. I wonder how bad the fuel dilution was?

My MOBIL 1 is changed every 10K and have 106K miles. I get the same mpg when bought new which is 28+ hwy at 70mph. I also use Tier 1 gasoline which is mostly Shell 87. No Report required. Thank you Mobil 1.

I got that in my GT (until I messed with the gear ratio 10,000 miles ago)

Heck my 2000 v6 mustang gets 28 on the hwy, and it has 165,000 miles on the clock,
its all about maintenance.

Consistent high iron ppm results in UOAs from using Mobil 1 5W-20, no one really knew why.....

Then, valve covers removed from a S197 Mustang, and the cams were swapped. This was after 35,000 miles and OCI every 5,000 miles of said oil....

THANKS MOBIL 1
