Default Royal Purple vs. Motocraft

I'm going to be swapping in an 8.8 soon and while I have it out I'm going to change the gear oil. With a stock diff and gears do you guys prefer RP or Motocraft. just looking for some opinions. Thanks.

A lot of people use RP, have heard some same Mobil 1 and some others say just any gear with the right weight will do.

Cant go wrong with either. Go with whatever is the most readily available to you.. Right weight is 75-140

I second the 75W140....

Thats what I used when I had my 3.73's put in....then when my rear end blew, I had a 31 spline setup put in with 4.10's and again used RP 75W140.

So, with the Royal Purple gear oil, you don't need to add the friction modifier, right?
