I guess you didn't see the news report about RP getting slammed by the Better Business Bureau for false advertising, or hear about the, "Street Commodores", magazine oil test that was bogus/misleading, or that right on the back of a bottle of 5W-20, 5W-30 or 10W-30 RP, they state that it is for only 2004 and previous vehicles. Your vehicle is a 2007. Be careful.

Here is the link about RP being slammed for false advertising. Personally, I wouldn't trust a company mired in false advertising and bogus tests -

Glad to be of help. I don't like seeing consumers/people being treated like that.

I personally feel AMSOIL is the best and Mobil 1 is next best. After that, I'm not that impressed.

Here are two links you can use for research -

For AMSOIL -

For Mobil 1 -

Also, here is an excellent article on synthetic oils in general -

wow, reading this kinda makes me nervous lol. my dad has used royal purple for awhile and he finally convinced me.

ive got an 06 and this past saturday and sunday i replaced my engine oil with rp 5w30 (with a k&n oil filter), transmission fluid with rp atf, and rear gears with rp 75w140.

the car seems to run a lot smoother, i cant even tell its idling except for the exhaust, and holy crap it shifts smoother. i dont have to go into 5th first to get it into reverse anymore. my dad has always been real happy with them but i guess we'll see about my car.

shad2009, i see you have an 07 but my 06 seems to be running like a champ. ill keep an eye on it though and if there seems to be any trouble ill change it out quick, kinda like pissin gold but if i have too i will, and ill keep you posted.

Been using RP for years, on two Supercharged daily driven cars. Never had any sludge, etc.

For those that read and believe everyone on the internet, and HAVE NOT used RP, please STFU!

I use Amsoil currently. I like to try different thing. RP is a great oil, and there are proven tests after 50K miles, Mobil 1 causes more damage than RP. Also, RP and Amsoil are extremely close when it comes to quality, just personal preference.

Also, nothing wrong with RP being attacked for claiming it adds HP. What oil company does not have wild claims about improved performance, HP gains, this or that, etc. RP was just caught in the load of BS. Get over it.

OP - sorry if I came on strong. I HATE people that bash something they have never used. While advertisements might not reflect highly on the manufacturer from a political standpoint, that DOES NOT make the quality of the product bad.

Good luck with your decision. You cannot go wrong with Amsoil, Redline, or RP. I would HIGHLY suggest you stay away from Mobil 1 and get something good for your car.

Roger,

Do you receive compensation from amsoil, altrum, aquabrite or aggrand? Are you a paid spokesperson for amsoil products? Do you market amsoil products?
