Fresh Engine, time for synthetic?

I did my own research so nobody else's opinions could get in the way. The msds sheets seemed to be the best way to get an answer instead of opinion.
bitog is full of opinion. The best example is "German castrol" the msds for it stated highly refined petroleum base oil. If you read bitog many claim it's a true synthetic. With all that information in mind it's still a good oil as documented by the people who use it with great results. Any api certified oil is going to work.

Yes, the infamous German Castrol. Oh do I remember running that in my Trans Am years ago. They all claimed it was a group IV PAO, but not according to the MSDS. It was a good oil, and it sure made the valve train in the LS1 quiet as a mouse.
Just because an oil isn't a true synthetic doesn't mean it won't perform. Some group III+ formulations have shown excellent results. Sure, I'm an AMSOIL guru, but I give credit where credit is due, hence my previous Pennzoil compliment.
