You also have a GT500, not a 4.6L or the new V6.

I can recommend a much better lubricant for your Shelby than Mobil 5W-50. That stuff is no better performing than Motorcraft 5W-50.

Do you have an UOA on the M1 5W50, which supports your claim? M1 5W50 looks to be a much more robust oil than the Motorcraft 5W50 according to its PDS and VOA.

Seen a few UOAs from 15W-50, they sheared about like the others we have both seen.

What does that tell you about their 5W-50?

All 5W50 oil will shear to some extent, but how much over miles depends on the quality of the viscosity modifiers and the engine's propensity to shear oil. I'd still like to see a couple of UOA reports of the M1 5W50 to see how it performs in the 5.4L motor before making any conclusions.

Heard it's hard to find. I've never looked for it on the shelf.

You won't find M1 5W50 on the shelf anywhere in the US, but it's available mail order.

Some people have a hard time "ordering" oil online and having it shipped.

Right beast? lol

TROOF!

It's odd though. They can order car parts, but not engine oil. Good thing is, not everyone is like that.
