Default Anyone here use an oil evacuator?

These seem like they would work well for the DiY'ers here since there is no room to crawl under these cars with a drain bucket.

This one made by mightyvac costs about $120 and sucks the oil out of the dipstick tube. They do get all the oil out too. You can get an air operated one or one with a hand pump.
I worked at a Mercedes dealer that never touched a drain plug. In fact most MB dealers use an oil sucker. They use these on boat motors too.

Think I'm going to get one and see how practical it is for quick weekend oil changes.

I use a Mighy Vac hand pump version on my other car and it works great. I have not tried it on the new Mustang yet.

I have the one pictured above...Never used it to drain motor oil in a car but I have used it in many other applications. Works well.

I use a MityVac which are very good for nay kind of vehicle. oil changes is very necessary for your vehicle. I did not use oil evacuator yet. But one of my friend is advised me to use it, which makes your works very easy.

I work at my father's quick-lube business and we have 2 or 3 of these. They are pretty useful in certain situations.

For my car though, I would always drain it instead of evac'ing. I don't know how well you can get all the oil out of the Mustangs, but on many cars its hard to suck off the bottom of the pan.

Really good for differentials if you don't want to remove the back plate. Although they can be a pain to feed the tube to the bottom as well...

I would rather drain my oil via the plug so I am 100% sure it all comes out however I do use that tool for my auto transmission and rear end

I bought the same Mityvac to change the oil on my dad's MB; it worked really well for that application since the oil filter is accessible from up top. I don't use it to change the oil on my other cars since I have to crawl underneath to remove the oil filter anyways and draining the oil from the pan is the easy part.
