Those with superchargers...
What oil are you using? I know the whole what oil is better question is old and hugely debated, but I would think that is usually for non-supercharged engines. With the car being supercharged, what are you running? I would think it would matter more now then ever seeing the enigine is way more stressed with my set up, just over 500 hp. I am thinking amsol, I use mobile 1 now, might try pen ultra. I don't beat the $&@$ out of my car but when I do get on it, I want to feel safe, lol. Thanks.

I'm not an oil expert, but I've used both Mobile-1 and Penzoil Platinum for the 50k miles I've driven, with the latter ~20k being PP. I just make sure I use a quality oil filter, such as Mobile-1 or K&N, and change the oil every 3-4k. I know I can extend it further but I'm just **** about that. I've put about 10k on the car since installing the ProCharger and all those miles have been PP.

I have used Mobil 1 and I have used AMSOil but mainly Mobil 1 for various reasons and I am at 78k.
1. You can buy it at Walmart
2. Its cheaper then AMSOil
3. I am not an extended interval type of guys and change it every 3-5k so AMSOil's extended interval is no use to me.
4. Like mentioned above its easier to get then AMSOil

More important than the brand is the viscosity. I've been using 5w30 for most of my cars 46,000 miles, but I have to wonder if a 5w40 would be a better choice. We are putting way more pressure on the bearings.

5w30 synthetic only because I've changed the thermostat to 180 and wanted a bit more protection at the lower operating temp, doesn't matter what brand. I have 94k miles on my s/c 03 gt, 40k of them have been with the s/c. I beat on it, I take it on long drives, it pulls hard, burns little oil. oil isn't going to save the engine when its under duress, 6000 rpm is hell on the rotating assembly so don't be up there very long too often.

I also make sure to use a serious quality filter. I've been happy with Bosch for the longest time, but got a deal on an RP filter last time. Construction on those is REALLY impressive.
