how about performance oil filter's K&N vs Royal Purple vs other options?
so for quite some time I have ran K&n oil filter's due to their better build than say fram or drive works and also being made in the USA, but this year I was given some royal purple filters to try out so I can't say much on their part yet but I just wanted to get an idea of what you guys or girls also prefer to run?

The best filter you can get for a 05-09 GT is the Amsoil EA011. Amsoil and RP are the very few that don't use paper as the filter media. Even thought the Amsoil filter costs $17 it is 98.7 % efficient at 20 microns and holds a **** ton more stuff than any other filter. Next best would be the royal purple 20-820. It does not hold as much as the Amsoil but it does have a synthetic filter media as well. The only paper filter I would use is the Motorcraft FL820S. The Motorcraft is 93% efficient at 20 microns. Either way the Amsoil filter has the thickest canister, best silicone anti drain back, and has a coil spring instead of the leaf spring. The Motorcraft FL820S is plenty good for a casual driver.
