Default Oil to use, in Old mustang??

What oil to use in 1969 351c engine,,
i heard of mobil 1 diesel truck is higher in phosphorus, zinc

Use any "CJ" rated commercial oils; Rotella, Dello, Delvic. These oils are rated for diesel engines and
gasoline engines. Almost all of the newer motor oils have removed the additives which lubricate a flat tappet cam,
so you need the "CJ" rated oil for that motor to save your flat tappet cam. You can buy these CHEAP at
Walmart.

Mobil one Synthetic High Mileage and a K&N Filter is what I would run.

Old cars would use conventual oil, not syntenic with high zinc for the flat tappit cams. Shell Rotella diesel oil has high zinc. The oil is so refined today conventual oil is almost synthetic.
