Tranny Fluid Change Qs

Tranny Fluid Change Qs
I have a manual 09 GT/CS and I have gathered everything I need to change out the transmition fluid. The problem I have come across is mainly due to the fact that I do not have a lift. I am 100% uncomfortable with, and will not, raise it off all 4s with Jack stands/ramps. Way too many horror stories.
When I refill the tranny, how necessary is it for the car to be level? Everywhere I've read says that it needs to be. Which I imagine is almost entirely for the purpose of making sure the fluid is 1/2 inch from the fill plug. Since the manual calls for 3.15 qts can I not just measure out that much and call it good? If that's sketchy what could be done? Lower the car after filling, check level, then raise again to close everything up?
Anyone else here do their trans fluid with raising just the front? Tips and tricks (I have a pump to make life easier for filling so I'm good there).
Thanks in advance.

IT needs to be level to DRAIN it, else it all won't be out when you add the
new. Never had problems with jack stands... Put one on each side of the
rear axle, and one on each front LCA, I put them under the front bushing.
Don't have a picture of up front, but under the LCA, where the bushings are.

Yep or ramps up front and jack stands on the rear that are close to the same level as the front. I've always done 4 jack stands. Zero problems and I've had it up at least 4 times for tranny service/fill related things.

Unless you plan to pull the pan and replace the filter too, then you NEED to
be level. If not, then put the new filter in, dry pan back on, and pump 5-quarts
in. Close it up and you're done. It won't hurt it at all..
