Hey guys, I'm doing my first AutoX event on May 15th at the DeAnza Autocross in Northern California. I got a 2007 V6 mustang with the following mods:

H&R Super Sport Springs
Tokico D-Specs (2 from hardest in front, 4 from hardest in rear)
UMI double adjustable panhard bar
GT500 Front/rear sways with poly bushings
Ingalls Camber bolts
C&L Intake w/ Custom Dyno Tune
17" OEM Bullitts and tires (but I am going to run the 16" rims with Eagle GT tires because I don't want to shred my DD tires)

It is my first AutoX event and I am kind of nervous, running in the Street Prepared class. Is there any tips or pointers you can put my way. I have an automatic transmission but will use the shifter to go into 1,2,3. What gear do you think I will use most? Two seems a little too torquey when it comes to exiting a turn but three would seem too high of a gear. What gear do you think I should mainly stick to?

Any help will be appreciated.

I think it will depend a lot on the layout. If you can keep it in 2nd the entire time without hitting redline then just stick there. The less you mess around with your transmission the more you can focus on driving.
