A friend who has an 08 GT500 and I went to the Autocross last Sunday and the Mustangs were unbeiveable. There were two M3s, one set up very well and one very fast MG with a 3.5 rover V8 in it. Two Vettes and one Porsche that did poorly. Even the stock GTs ran with the top cars. I rode with two Mustangs, one 09 lightened to 3200lbs and tuned, springs the works except no supercharger tied the fastest M3 and the MG. The other Mustang I rode with was a 12 with Steeda suspension and tuned, was just a second slower. Amazing how fast the Mustangs are. Oh Yea, two go-carts were faster than everything!

Awesome, glad you had fun!.. And yeah, if they were shifter carts they will eat you up, ha.

i really want to know what it feels like to do it in a car but i was told i need a roll cage for my car since its a convertible..... :-/

Yeah, the Mustangs are very capable autocross cars, and not just S197s. I rode in a nationally competitive F-stock 03-04 Mach 1 several years ago and was blown away!
