This item is one set of Kooks headers 6004S which is a 1 3/4"x 1 7/8" design for the 1996-2004 4v Mustang. These headers are stainless and also coated 1750 degree Precision Motorsports Durachrome inside and out and come with an extra O2 bung welded in for a wide band or whatever.

They are being sold as open box/scratch and dent. Basically what happened is Kooks made the header to order, it was then coated, and sent to the original customer. The customer did not like some of the port work in the flange area, so we sent it back to Kooks for more porting. The customer then decided that they instead wanted a straight 1 7/8" header, which left us with this one.

The header is brand new and has never been installed. The only reason we are not putting it in inventory and selling as new is the coating. Basically when Kooks ported the inside of the flanges, they took some of the coating off. Also, they heated a few areas up, which discolored the coating. Also from being shipped around so much, the finish of the coating has a few scratches in it. One other thing I want to note is that Kooks recommends 1996-1998 cars use an Anthony Jones engine and trans crossmember. The part can be installed without the AJE crossmember but the install is VERY difficult.

Since this is a pretty rare, made to order part, we are pricing it to move to get it from inventory. The header normally runs over $1200 with the coating and extra O2 Bung. We are selling this one unit for $899 shipped. At this price all sales are final. The part however is brand new, so it comes with Kooks warranty.
