Default AOD setup for 65/66 mustang

Category: Drivetrain

Part fits: Classic Mustangs

I am selling my AOD setup out of my 65 mustang. It includes the transmission cross brace and mount, AOD transmission and torque converter, flexplate, TV cable, and yolk.

You will need a starter from around an 86 to 94 mustang. Not sure of the exact years.

Transmission works well. 1st gear has a little whine or hum, as does 4th. I have heard most do this, but my car is not very quiet, so you hear everything. It has never changed sound since I have had it in my car for 5 years.

I would really like to not have to ship it. It would be also cool if the buyer could test drive my car before they bought it.

With my stock tires, my engine turns about 2000 at 70 mph. I normally get 20+ mpg on the highway. My car has been as far away Grand Canyon, Yosemite and San Francisco with this transmission. I live in Georgia.

I just wanted to go to the manual transmission route (T-5). This car is the first automatic I have owned and it has been always planned. Happy to trade with cash on my end for a T-5 setup
