Default "Green" Filter

I installed a "Green" filter today. They were origanlly a sister company of K-N in the European market and since broke away from K-N and now sell filters in the state. When they first came out i worked at an auto accesory store. I got the warehouse we dealt with to give me one for free to put on my honda in repalce of the K-N that came with the intake.
It made an improvment over the K-N that you could feel and here.

I plan on doing a intake on the mustang but probably not till the summer so I decided to do the free air box mod and then put a performance filter in place of the factory.

What a difference the "Green" filter made over the paper Fram filter. The car instantly got better. The throttle response was better the high rpm pull was more noticable and the air rushing in was louder.

For ten bucks more then a K-N (not with my discount though) it is worth it.

i find it hard to believe you "felt" a difference in filter change. the 2hp you might have picked up would not be noticable

Well i guess I am a liar. It felt different and it was noticable. I didn't say i could pull three gear burnouts now as opposed to two gears or run down Sti's with it. I mearly said it felt different. The motor liked it and I am happy with the purchase.

dont take it as a bash man...i just dont beleive it picked up any hp...there isnt a filter that flows more than a k&n. but there are several filters that flow just as good, and block twice as much dirt while doing it

acutally the "green" filter does flow more than a k-n. have you seen the K-n display that they created to show how much more air it flow than a regualr filter? When I worked at the store we had one, and I got a "green" filter that was the same as a k-n we actually had to adjust the air flow so that we could see the difference between the "green" and the k-n filter. The green out flowed the k-n, even when we covered half the green filter it still outflowed the k-n. I found it hard to belive until I saw it with my own eyes.
There is another filter out that flows more than the green and the k-n, calle tru-flo, but it is a sponge soaked in oil. I looked at it and saw the bag it was in soaked in oil and figured that would be a bad thing for a mustang's MAF sensor.

Got a website we can go to to see these "Green" Filters? Im kinda interested in it. I use Fram air filters and are pretty happy with them. But I wouldnt mind trying one out. How well does it clean the air?

no flame here but there is no filter out there you'll feel seat of the pants hp unless it's clogged...you may hear a different sound and think that, it's a known fast in louder a car has your brain thinking fast.....[8D]
