How loud are the magnapacks? Are they obnoxiously loud for a 25 mile commute to and from work everyday? If so, is the magnaflow cat-back a good alternative to the magnapack setup?

I have a 36 mile comute at about 40mph average. It doesn't drone in the car and I can hear the radio fine. Even with the windows down

Magnapacks are loud but are pretty quiet until you stand on the pedal.

the magnapacks are quiet at idle???...i was thinking of getting them but i want something that has that DEEP Throaty sound at idle and is still loud when you gun it...anyone know what i'm talking about. Kinda like the 2 classics in the Fast and Furious 2. Those 2 cars sounded awsome...anyone can help me it would be spectacular!!!....yes i said spectacular

Iam waiting on my Magnapacks from the muffler shop , CANT WAIT! i know the sound you speak of, My friends camaro has it, He has a 350 bored out and has 400hp , You have to remeber that displacment and power are a factor in soud too. the 5.0 and 4.6 are smaller then the 350 and chevy stuff. Find a car with the sound you like and stop the owner and ask about his setup.

sounds good...right now i'm running catless system cat-back with o/r H-pipe & 40 series flows and the sound isn't to loud...noticeable, but not as loud as i want it

If you go catless, the idle will definitely be noticable.

The load soung would be great if i only drove the car on weekend, but its a daily driver. So at 70 mph, for 30 minute drive, will i be annoyed? (possibly a 3.73 gear setup soon)

Not really.I did quite a bit of highway driving with my Magnapacks, they aren't all that loud in your interior. They don't resonate inside like some other mufflers do.

They are still loud at idle. Noticalbly. I can hear my car in the mornings when I start it in the house. Still deep but it screams when you stand on that peddle.
