monitor your a/f ratio, egt's, tune it correctly, use higher octane fuel, and water injection. Oh yeah, retard the timing. That should about do it for avoiding det. :)

Seriously though... tune tune tune. I've heard intercoolers also help with detonation by lowering the intake air temp.

put it on haul it to a dyno to tune ...good igintion,retard control mds,cooler plug,93 octange with 104 added ,fmu and a blow off valve, 5-9 degree base timing
