Supercharger problem
I have a vortech v1sc 6 pound charger on my 92 fox, it is installed correctly and it makes boost but not enough . It only runs 3 pounds of boost at full throttle, i tried numerous vacuum lines and gauges, they all read the same. Stock motor except for 65 mm throttle body and full exhaust. It should have way more power than it does i dont know what is wrong. My timing is set at 13 degrees and if i were running 6 pounds i would have blown a head gasket by now. Any troubleshooting greatly appreciated.

RE: Supercharger problem
I have a boost gauge teed into the vacuum line for the fmu, i double checked with different vacuum gauge right to back of manifold, same reading. It almost never comes out of vaccuum to boost unless its full throttle and then only 2 to 3 pounds max. I thaught the power should always be there on a blower no matter what rpm. could the blower itself be hooped, brand new like 2 weeks old straight from vortech.

RE: Supercharger problem
no, the boost is not always there. the boost won't even kick in until about 3000rpm under WOT. even then, you're only going to be making about 3psi and won't make your max boost until about redline. what's your boost gauge read when you're at like 5200rpm?
