Default 8 rib pulley, belt dressing-ANDERSON MOTORSPORTS

Has anyone used the 8 rib pulley kit on there procharger or the belt dressing they advertise that helps belt slips by Anderson Motorsports. My belt slips only until it get warm uped. There seems to be alittle play, but Im sure the tensioners is not maxed out > I plan on replacing it , but I don't really know if thats the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

dont knowwhat everyone else has to say but ihad belt slippageso i bought a can of belt dressing and coated my belt. it snapped week later, 20 miles out of a belt, not bad....... if you dont have to use belt dressing, dont. take the belt off, clean all your pulleys and make sure you dont have anyoil leaks that could leak onto the belt.

i tried belt dressing once for my accessory belt and it worked for about 5 minutes. the belt is probably too loose. 8 rib belts dont usually slip unless your sc pulley is incredibly tiny, the belt is shot, or the belt isnt tight enough.

The belt seems to be in great shape, the tensioner is the possible problem. Is this something easy to change.

yes. i hated having the stock tensioner. it was a pain because it didnt put enough pressure on the belt. i ditched it all together as you can see in the pic in my sig. i made a tensioner rod and never looked back

I have a P-1 with a 3.4 pulley with no slip at all. Your sig says your running 8lbs of boost which shouldn't slip at all. If you didn't change the tensioner when you installed the charger then that's probably your problem. A friend of mine run a 3.2 pulley without slipage. He then swaped over to the 8 rib setup and is now running a 2.75 pulley with no problems. You have a big problem if your sliping on a 3.6 pulley.

I have never used belt dressing for anything. It's not a fix and makes things worse. I have a p-1 8 rib as well. I have already replaced the stock kit tensioner once. So far, no problems. They do need to come out w/ a better tensioner though.
