Default turbo oil return help

any info on what size line for the oil return and best way to run it. im using a 3/8 line braided hose -6 AN fittings. i started up my car today to make sure i had no problems and the turbo started blowing oil out the exhaust side and the compression side so im thinking turbo needs rebuild or its my oil return and how i have it ran.

Do you have an oil feed lin attached? Usually you can run the return into a drilled hole in the oil pan.

do you have a restrictor on the feed side you don't need full oil press. to the turbo. I would also step up the return size to 8AN or better yet 10AN

They make a restrictor that goes inside the line a lot of people use a .065 nitrous jet. they tap the inside of the an fitting and screw it in. Big H/V oil pumps and high oil press. can caues problems with turbo seals. you get the oil restrictors from most turbo suppliers.

if you don't have a restrictor that's certainly your problem. you'll likely destroy a brand new turbo in seconds without one...ihave a jet tapped into my an fitting although i'm not sure on the size. the turbo just needs a steady supply of oil...even a bit too much pressure or more thannaturally drains will blow out the seals.i use -12 braided for my return...
