RE: $1500 dollar supercharger kit!(?)
He's talking about sticky post at the top of this page.
I am in the process right now. I am buying a $500Vortech V2 S trim head unit with 10,000 miles on it on Saturday. I literally just got off the phone a couple hours ago with a guy from Vortech. I read him everything in that post and he said that all you'd need added to that is the Fuel Management Unit ($180) and the Coil Bracket Assembly ($56). Both can be found at that website you're talking about. So yeah, it should work just fine. When I finish it up here in a couple weeks, I'm going to write a post and say how it went.
By the way, the fuel management unit is a cheaper replacement for upgraded injectors. 40 lb injectors cost like $400. The fuel management unit will take you to 10 psi or so.

comes out to just shy of 1500$ as said in the sticky for the blower and mounting parts, but thats without a new fuel pump and injectors/or fmu. and if the SC needs rebuilt theres some more money thrown at it. so its not gonna be 1500$, in the end i would say probably closer to 2500 depending if the sc needs rebuilt or not (plus you gotta get it tuned).
its still not a bad price in the end considering...but id like to see how far over the 1500$ most ppl end up.

Again, I'll let everyone know when I do it in a couple weeks. But even if you don't reach that $1500 goal and add, let's say, $1000 to that price, you're stillhave the s/c system for $2500 where as buying it new is just shy of $4000. You could get the thing installed, tuned, and out the door for about the price of the new Vortech system itself. At least, I hope so.
