Dont mean to thread jack but, in the first post he said they about the same price. How much would the KB cost if i installed it myself. Not including the tune.

RE: procharger D1SC vs. KB 2.6l
This is a slightly old thread, but I picked up my D1SC tuner kit and added injectors and a tune for less than $5600...but this is for an S197 so that might make a difference in the pricing, not sure...plus the tune I am getting will be on a dyno...also looking at the instructions for installing the procharger, which I will be doing myself...it seems to be a lot easier than doing a kenne bell or any other twin screw or roots typeblower...although because I am installing the cmcv delete plates I will be taking off the intake as you would with a kb type blower...since its pretty much a recommended practice to install the cmcv delete plates, I guess that might refute my ease of installation story slightly ...upgraded fuel pump would need to happen in either car and the dual ford GT pumps are definitely a biatch to say the least, because there is definitely not a lot of room in that small opening to fit all of hoses and crap that get added to the basket, lol...just my thoughts...

Yeah I am definitely aware of the restrictions of this motor's stock bottom end...pencil thin rods, yada yada yada I am working on getting the built short block to match with the SC setup as we speak

i wont be running on a stock bottom end, ill be buying a new rotating assembly that can hold up to about 900 rwhp ...but im only looking to push a little over 600, right around the ballpark of 650 rwhp...
