Got the bottle heater installed finally
Yesterday it was cold enough that my bottle pressure was way down, and affecting my times of course. I jerry rigged my heater to get some pressure built up, and today finished the project so I don't have that worry again.
Thanks to everyone who gave me the tips on how to remove the full console.
I put the wiring under the carpet to my SOS cup holder switch. I decided that I didn't like the "add a tap" going to the SMJ, so took tBhat back and did an inline fuse holder right off the battery for power, and then threaded the power line back inside the car and up to the cupholder switch. All the under hood wiring is in looms (except for one small piece, anyone have some they don't need?)
(engine bay is dirty from rain this week and a day at the track with no time to clean up under the hood)
and the bottle heater is now the bottom right button
And the best part - everything works! I hooked it up and checked the pressure after the car was sitting outside all afternoon with the trunk open:
and after 10 minutes with the bottle heater running:
No more low pressure on a full bottle in the fall (or spring) for me! The pressure is still low in the last shot, the bottle is only about 1/2 full and I had it outside in the cold all day. Needs to warm up for awhile to get up to 900
