Default 2000 Gt Exhuast w or w.o headers

Ok guys i just want your new opinions on what exhuast set up i should get... And should i wait until i can afford headers. I want the best sounding and performing set up... Just want it to run good. People said not to mess with headers. Just wondering the pros and cons. Someone sent me some other set ups i like. What is the best one for most perfoamance gains while sounding the best thank you ...

If you eventually want to run a Poweradder (N20, other forms of F/I), headers are definatly a worthwhile investment. Whoever told you not to mess with headers obviously doesnt know much about the subject. Any creditable header company like BBK, MAC, or Bassani for exampe would be a good choice. Short or long depends on what you want from your vehicle. The catback you choose is all personal preference. Thats about all I can say based on the info you gave.

What he said.
I run BBK l/t headers, VRS catted x and Magnapacks. I'm in NY and will pass inspection.

I am running ceramic coated Ford Racing headers, an Off road Manaflow x pipe and spintech mufflers and the sound and performance are terrific

A catbacked midpiped stang is nothing as far as sound to the same set up with headers. I have shorties, and I couldnt believe my ears. Lt's must sound heavenly.
