is this good?
Hi, I'm thinking about getting a Flowmaster American Thunder catback & a Mac h-pipe for my 98gt. Should I go with that h-pipe or a different one? Let me know if links don't work.

RE: is this good?
mac's quality is a little on the iffy side, I would look for a better quality H or X depending on your sound preferance

Try to stay with the same brands if you can. Like flowmaster catback with flowmaster x or h pipe. That way you'll know they'll match up perfect.

RE: is this good?
I got a 94 Gt just put BBK shorty headers, BBK H Pipe, Flowmaster 2.5" 50 series on. Sounds wicked and still a nice loud tone i love it! the AT is seriously loud and causes a lot of drone inside the car but the sound cant be beaten. I don't think flows do a h or x pipe?. If your going for the h pipe and exhaust system u might as well go headers too :D.

RE: is this good?
Flowmaster does make H-pipes but they are those crappy multi-piece ones. The BBK units are one piece design. Leak free and stronger setup.

RE: is this good?
my dad has a friend who does exhaust for a living so he's gonna make me a custom h-pipe. i heard the american thunder system on a 96 gt lastnight. it wasn't as impressive as i remembered. i don't know what cat-back i'm going with.

I have a mac H pipe and it fit perfectly. The quality is just fine also. Get it! Here is how my mac h sounds with my magnaflow exhaust:
