why was I better? Did you have immediate boost as soon as you got on the gas? I was lricng them and it seems it will be close to the procharger model I wanted. Also I was doing some reading on them and it seems they are harder to install then a centri. Is this true? Cause then I'll be paying someone to put it on

Well, I asked many of the same questions you are when considering a blower. I installed the Stage 1 Procharger kit on my 07. It was pretty easy to put in. I didn't have to do any modding to fit the intercooler. I took it to a shop to have it tuned and it produced 447 rwhp. That was a little more than I was looking for, but it was a reputable tuner. Dude said he was comfortable with that power level. He set a flat AFR at 11.8. I have 3.55's right now. I recently installed 20's and I notice a difference with the extra weight. I'm most likely going with 4.10's in the future. My car isn't my DD, but I do drive it often. I've put about 8,000 miles on it with the blower so far with no problems. I drive it hard too. If FI is something you want to do, go for it.

It was better because you do have immediate boost. My buddy's 04 gt had the 9lb. Kenne Bell kit and made 7-8lbs. pretty much immediately. With 3.73 gears and about 400 rwhp it was an absolute blast. Part throttle... half throttle... it didn't matter, it was strong everywhere. My other buddy has a 01 gt with a Procharger and 4.10's (right around 380 rwhp IIRC) and it was nowhere near as fun as the twin screw IMO.

As far as i know a twin screw blower will be a bit more difficult to install than a centrifigual style. Although i hear the Kenne Bell install manual is more detailed and complete than the others.

Ok. So here is an off topic question. But what would be the average price of building up engine internals to handle more
power. I'll probably get burned for saying this on a stang forum but i saw a good deal for an 06 gto with the 6.0, stock 400 hp and tq. That car could probably be built to close to 500 hp with out doing major engine upgrades.

Well, of course the GTO can be built up to handle 500 hp because it already has 400 stock, and is a 6.0 liter LS motor. It's in a different class than the 4.6 mod motor.

I know. I'm just sayng. I like my car a lot but I would like 500hp. But that may just get me into more trouble than I need. And I should probably be thankful for what I already have. Haha

So I just thought of another question. If I would run the intercooled procharger at 9-10 psi which makes claims of producing 400rwhp (i think). So then adding camshafts would probably be a bad idea? Would it make too mch hp that would be unsafe for the stock engine?
And I haven't been able to find an exact answer for this question, but would be the benefits of running a lower boost pressure to make less hp from the blower and put cams in to maybe break past 400rwhp?
