Magnflow rear swaybar clearance!

Magnflow rear swaybar clearance!
Anyone else out there experiencing any rear swaybar clearance problems with their Magnaflow catbacks and lowering springs? I have a '98 GT vert with Steeda sport springs. The Magnaflow catback on the passenger side is as tight and troublefree as can be while the left side is constantly banging on the rear swaybar whenever I hit a dip of any kind, let alone nasty rough roads. The left side also seems to loosen up all the time and the tip is shakey as well. Could be as a result of the banging that goes on. Can't believe one side fits so well and the other sucks. Did I just get a bad install or something? Probably should pay to have another shop reinstall that side to get it right. So what are your experiences with these systems and lowered Mustangs? Thanks for your input.

I don't have a 94-98, but my Magnaflow system is the same way. The left side bangs on the sway bar. We're not the only ones, either. I've answered a few threads on this board regarding the same fitment issues with Magnaflow cat-backs. Problem is, it was like that before I put the lowering springs in... lowering isn't what's causing the problem with the cat-back and sway bar.

I had the same problem, but I fixed it by getting as much length out of the pipe joints without causing a leak. That worked for me. I believe it still as hit a couple of times if I hit a big deep to hard but it could of been the suspension bottoming out. But no noises from from mine any more. It took alot of tinkering with the fit to get it right though. Look at your other side where you have no noises and get the clearances as close to that as possible.

You would think Magnaflow would offer a replacement pipe to help clearance over the swaybar and axle on the left side. Must be many PO'ed customers out there. Good quality manufactured system but doesn't like to fit on the left side.....WTF. I really think they should address the problem and put an end to it once and for all.

^^^LMFAO^^^
I haven't experienced anything like that with my Packs as of yet. But they sure were a pain to put on. It just doesn't seem right that I had to take off my rear passenger side wheel just to get one of the pipes on. Still, I am happy as hell with them on there!

i had my magnaflow's put on a couple of weeks ago, same problem here too. i must have took it back to the muffler shop 4-5 times to try to fix the problem. when i called magnaflow and upr (x-pipe) they said that was unusual. LYING BA5TARD5!!!! it only hits when 1 hit speed bumps now.

One thing I have noticed with mine is this annoying, loud vibration coming from the passenger side. I haven't figured out what is rattling or whatever yet, but it really only does it when I am taking off slowly in first gear or in reverse.
