I've heard that the electric ones don't always work right. For the money they cost, i'd stay away personally. Also, you'd want some big cams and higher compression to truely take advantage of this IMO.

That's just my take.

ive seen them installed in person on a few cars and they seamed pretty cool. Im going to be picking one up shortly and then wiring it into the ECU so that it opens automatically at 3,500 rpm. im just worried that its going to sound like ive got an exhaust leak when the cutout is closed. anyone know how well they seal?

Ditto.. I have my doubts about the electronic cut outs, but I have ALWAYS been a fan of cut outs since 05 in my Stage 2 Dodge Neon SRT-4 turbo. I have them in my 08 GT and they are simply insane in terms of loudness..

Just out of curiosity are people saying ‘no’ because they don’t like the sound or they don’t think they improve the exhaust flow enough to be worth the money? I’m only asking because it seams like a lot of people on this forum ask the question ‘what exhaust sounds the best?’.
