<FONT face="Times New Roman, Times, serif" size=1>I was wondering when you guys get up over lets say 500+ horsepower what kind of transmission do you use....ive heard that the T-56 is the strongest manual and it'll only handle about 425 torque as far as i know...i have a 351C 4V engine and was gonna stroke and supercharge it....debating on manual or auto...manuals area lot more fun...this is gonna be a street and strip car and even a daily driver sometimes(not very often though)...what would be the best manual trannyto handle lets say600-700HP???</FONT></P>

An automatic with the right convertor would be a lot more consistent, and 90% of the faster racers at the track use autos.

600-700 hp isn't going to be fun on the street to just be rid'in..there will be tuning issues out the ***...the tremec would be of choice for the hp level and wanting to do alot of street driving so the over heating issue won't be such and issue..but you'll need a alum 2 core with 2 fans with alum heads and header wrap

up above 500hp, i'd go with an automatic...i don't think a 600-700hp car would be too much fun on the street w/a 5-speed.</P>

where do you get the money for these frikin toys...i'm saving up to put frikin trickflow manifolds on my 5.0 so i can maybe hit 250hp!, haha</P>
