I've talking to this guy about putting a nitrous works system in my 99 cobra for a few months and finally two months ago I decided to go with a 100 shot nitrous system. He said it wouldn't be strenous on the engine and my car wouldn't have a problem handling it. It's a throttle activated system as well. I used it maybe ten times on the quarter mile and have been really easy on it. Anyway, a month after getting the system put in my radiator light comes on. I checked the fluid and it was fine. Two weeks later I'm on the side of the road overheating. Got towed to a mechanic and he said my oil was almost bone dry and their were air pockets in the radiator fluid system. I had just changed the oil two weeks ago and put six quarts in. He said it may have to do with the mixture running too lean on the ten times I used the Nitrous causing it to burn off oil. They flushed the radiator fluid, changed oil again, and instructed me to not use the nitrous until I maybe got a bigger fuel pump. I turned the bottle off and haven't used it since. That was two weeks ago. Today the radiator light came on again and the fluid is at normal level. Oil seems to be burning off too, I have to keep adding some just to keep the level right. I could use any advice here as I am desperate to remedy this situation!!!!! If I'm not using the nitrous anymore than why does my car keep acting weird like this!!!</P>

6 qt of oil? you need to do a compression check the shop should had checked this...your not really clear on the problem..here is what I can gather....the car had an air pocket in the cooling system..this will cause the car to heat up..as for the oil problem how many qts was it low when that refilled it?..is there any oil leaks?..any white or blue smoke?...it could be a possible head gasket,cracked head,blown intake gasket, or a bad pcv valve or the screen under it my be clogged..just need to rule out some thing

yeaa - i think your leaking oil. But if there wasnt water in your oil...i dunno about the motor....
