Is it possible to wreck you car (shelby)?
Hit the rev limiter in first and a huge backfire with puff of black smoke came out of the back and now it is idling rough. I have a 2010 mustang shelby gt 500, only 4000kms on it, supercharger whiple 2.9, with small pulley and tuned for 650 HP. I am a good driver and have driven for years but wanted to see what it could do and I guess I punched it too long.... what could have happened? noticed a ticking sound before on the drivers side. Will get checked out, i usually baby my cars but that was just too much damage for such a well built machine.
Thanks

with that few of miles there is a good chance that you pushed it too soon to be hitting the rev limiter. they say that you only need to put about 1,000 miles on then to break it in but with how much power (and $$$) you have into the car it really it worth taking the little extra time for the parts to get settled in. without looking at the car it sounds like in might be a lifter or something in the heads that failed. who did your tuning?
