Ok so I want long tube headers for my 94 GT but I am not sure which ones to get and the tech question would be which headers can I get and install without having to lift the motor? I really dislike the fact that you have to with the bbk headers and not sure about the pacesetters and I am not willing to pay for the Kooks overpriced stuff.

I'm pretty sure your going to have to lift the motor and dieasemble the steering arm on the drivers side no matter which headers you use. I did my headers while I was doing heads cam etc. so I had alot of extra room to work.

I had bbk long tube son my 89 for a long time, and was amazed how easy they went on, though like bluebeast states, you still have to move lots of things to get them in. I thought they were easier to install than the equal length shorties. I currently have kooks on my 89, and they were a ton of work to install, actually not so much the headers as fabricating/connecting the rest of the exhaust up to the headers.

I don't know of a way to install the long tubes with out raising the drivers side of the engine. Maybe if you had it on a lift and could install them from under the car, I don't know. I just installed a set of long tubes on my 94 a few months ago, and I had to pull steering shaft , raise engine and remove the lines from my master cylinder in order to get the drivers side in. The passanger side also needed to be raised a bit to get them in. I also had to shim the engine up to keep clear of the ragjoint on the steering shaft after they were in.

If you find a way to get them in without moving anything, let us know. I don't think there are any mustangs you can do that with.

Could find a fair priced exhaust shop, it's pretty routine for them and they can clear up any alignment issues with the rest of your exhaust. Get it all done in one place, unless you're budget minded.

Yea I plan on doing it myself and I will have a lift. Its a on base do it yourself shop so I figure I will try going from underneath and just disassembling the steering shaft without raising the engine. I dont think the have anything to raise the engine with there so thats why I am trying to avoid it

I also plan on getting the matching H pipe for whatever I get and just dropping some super 44's instead of the tin sounding 40's
