Default New exhaust costs

My husband and I are planning to buy a Mustang as early as this weekend and having trouble deciding whether we want the '08 GT with the Flowmaster exhaust and Hurst shifter, but needs upgraded tech OR the 2010 GT with a nicer look and better tech. One way or another we will have an aftermarket exhaust because once we heard one it gave us goosebumps. From what I've read it doesn't seem to be a hard install but knowing a ballpark price would be super helpful. We don't need much more power/speed, it's mostly just the awesome sound. If it isn't obvious, I'm not a gearhead. If it sounds good and looks good and goes fast-I'm down. But I need someone to give me basic info like I'm a dummy. I've read stuff about intake and axleback vs catback and then it made my head hurt. Can anyone help me out? Thanks.
