Default Deeper exhaust tones!

How do you get a more "old school, muscle car, deeper, exhaust rumble" out of a 2016 5.0L?? I don't like the newer raspy, higher thinner tone exhaust. Any ideas as to exhaust components that might help get a deep tone??? ... & yes I understand that modern engines burn cleaner making a different exhaust tone! Love the way it runs! 125 MPH in the 1/4.

Thanx in advance for replies!

The biggest reason you don't get that old school Foxbody rumble is that the mufflers are at the end of the car instead of in front of the axle. You can remove the resonator and get back some of the deeper tones you are looking for.

Mr. D, install a OEM exhaust system from a 2014 Mustang GT. I also favor the deeper exhaust sound. Also, that 125 mph at the end of the quarter is outstanding. Don't change anything except the exhaust.

Due to the IRS in the 2016, the 2014 system isn't compatible so not an option for him.

JimC, thanks for the "heads-up." Sometimes I leep before I look.

Get yourself a good axle back if you're on a budget and pair it with an H pipe. Im running roush axle-backs with an MRT H-pipe. Perfect loud growl with no drone. If you want to make some new enemies smack some headers on that bad boy as well
