An oil change is 0.3 hours but it takes half an hour to do. It's just a flat rate program. But $50 an hour at a shop is a great deal. Dealerships are like $75 to $90 an hour. And I know a few performance shops that are over $100 for every flat rate hour.

Yeah but taking headers off and putting some back on isn't out of the ordinary. Especially if it's a performance shop. But even regular garges would have some sort of idea of flat rate hours. If not the techs in the shop would make something up. TRUST ME!

I would say if you have the money and want to get it done go for it. It's not a bad price but it's also not for Free. If you feel like it's ok to spend that amount of money on that then go for it. They are right that is a rare thing to get certified shop to do that for that price.

well i can tell you i spend 12 hours putting my bbk shorties on but that was in a garage on jack stands not a lift. a good lift would have made a diffence. i would say 150 on a 4.6 is worth every penny.
