#13
Alright here we go. Back in March of 2012 I sold my 67 coupe restomod for a more practical DD. First I bought a 01 GT auto, but got tired of it within a month and sold it to my parents and bought my current car.
Car was fine up until January 30th on my way home from school. It had just rained, the temp had dropped below 40 degrees, and I had summer tires. I had taken this roundabout hundreds of times over the years, but that night wasn't a good one. The back end got loose and I never could get it back under control. When I corrected it the car snapped back and shot the other way. Unfortunately for me in the other direction was a nice concrete wall.
So over the next 4 months it needed a full front rebuild. I did everything but weld on the new front end and paint the parts. I wasn't going to let this car be taken away from me, I was determined to have it fixed and have it come back better than before.
BEFORE
The Aftermath
(The crash spun the car 180, to make it face the roundabout again)
The Repair
The Finished Product
I also added IRS exhaust, it is a Pypes Violator catback.
I have rotated the clamps around so the threads are facing upwards to give me more ground clearance since I have taken these pictures.
