Default Installed HID's tonight

I just installed 5000K HID headlights and HID match halogen fog lights. Boy do HID's make a huge visibility difference.

Tomorrow night......hopefully Roush rear springs

www.sharphid.com > click on products > click on Apexcone/DDM Ultra Slim 35w and 55w Hi/Lo Bi-Xenon HID Kits > Choose H13 and bulb and add to cart. Does that get you there?

Did you install them yourself? If so, how involved was the install? Did you do the same kit for fogs and headlights?

Thanks

I did install them myself. It is really not that difficult and I have done it a few other times in other cars. To me the hardest part is getting a real clean run of the wires. You have to run a + and - to the battery. Some kits, like this one, did not have an OE plug for the actual headlight so I had to figure out what the three wires did with a little trial and error. Take you time, make SURE you dont get anything on the HID bulbs themselves (i.e. fingerprints, grease, dirt, etc), measure twice, cut once and you'll be done. Access to the bulbs on this car are the easiest I have ever done.

Hey roadracer, maybe you can answer this question for me. I have a 06 GT that has a GT500 front end conversion done on it. Does it matter which kit I get for it since I have GT500 headlights but they are being powered by my stock GT wire harness??

Thanks!

I would guess that if you are using the stock GT headlight harness, the bulbs are still going to be H13's. I am not 100% positive of this. It is easy enough to pop out the right headlight and look. I say right because the airbox is in the way on the left side. So pop it out and see what bulb it is. That will answer your question.

Just keep in mind that the higher the Kelvin (i.e. 4300k, 5000k, 6000k) the more light you lose. My sole purpose for HID's is for the function and 5000K is a near to pure white as possible and has next to the highest lumens with 4300k being the highest. In order to see the blue you are looking for, you will need above 6000K.
