Default 9 bar billet front grill pictures please.

Do they scratch? All that extra air but is it just hot air?

i haven't noticed any difference with the air flow, but it does open up the edges of the grille, which probably helps a lot. No scratches so far.

there is a lot more airflow than the stock grille...if you look closely at the stock grille, youll see that it has the honeycomb design...within that honeycomb design, you will see that about half of the honeycombs are actual holes to allow air into the engine bay while the remaining honeycombs are not holes at all, just mere plastic mold with a plastic backing...with that in mind, you can compare it to the 9-bar grille that is COMPLETELY open and has nothing to impede air flow into the engine bay...you have pretty much a 200% increase in airflow into the engine bay to be sucked into the air intake by the engine...

as for whether it being hot air or not, the "hot" air that goes into your intake is primarily going to be the air that is already in your engine bay that is heated up by the radiant heat built up from the engine....now, not all the air that goes into your intake is hot, most of the air going into your intake while driving will be the cool air that comes through the front grille and into your engine bay....

i would say the 9-bar will help against heat buildup under the hood to a degree because it will allow greater cool air flow into the engine bay, creating more air pressure and forcing a lot of the hot air in the bay out...this will allow more cool air to flow into your intake over the stock grille....

i hope this helps you!
