Default tire size for 18x9 bullitt - updated with pics

I am getting my 18x9 bullitts mounted and stuff on Friday. I have decided on toyo proxes 4s but would like some suggestion on tire size. Currently I am thinking 255/45/18. Any better ideas or suggestions. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks all!

I have 255's up front and I'm very happy. With a 9 inch wide rim, you could go wider, like 275 or 285. I have 275's on the rears on my car, give it a mean look from behind. I would consider that if I were you. Though you can rotate them. Next time around, I'm thinking I'm going to go wider than the 275's.

cool thanks rygen. I was thinking about going bigger out back, but my worry there was being unable to rotate wheels front to back. I will be using the stockers in the winter, so that should help tire wear some. I hate to put my nice new wheels through a Michigan winter haha!

Yea, rotation is an issue. Scrming put 16's up front, and 17's on the rear that are 275's and it gives the car a mean stance.

As for me, I got like 8 rims in my garage. I plan to put winter tires on some of them I suppose. You could do that.....

Finally I got a little time to post a picture of the new wheels. For tires I went with Toyo Proxes 245/40/18. It makes the car look soooo much more sporty!! I'm thinking next spring getting a mild lowering kit to squat it down some. What you guys think?

they look nice man

personally i would go with 20's in the rear and 18's in the front. it just gives the car a mean stance....

http://www.mustangtuning.com/20x10-2...nthracite.html - these are the 20's

http://www.mustangtuning.com/anthrac...8x9-18x10.html - and the 18's

Dean, how is the snow, ice, rain handling?
I like your setup so much I might just go to DiscountTire Direct and get those same rims in black,
but with Mich Alpine Sport All Seasons since this is my daily commute car.
I have had those tires before (Alpines) awesome in dry, wet, snow, ice.

I took the wheels off for the winter and put the stockers back on. I wanted to be sure to keep them nice for the summer cruising! If you are gonna leave the rims on all year it would be a good idea to get an all season tire. that way you can keep the wheels solid on the ground haha. We've only had one real big snow here on the west side of michigan, and the stang made it through pretty well, but i only had to drive it a couple miles to work, so nothing too major. My girl has an F150 4x4 that we use for longer treks through the snow. The wider tire you can put on an 18x9 should help the traction and handling so thats a plus!

looks good, you NEED tat lowering now though as those are smaller diameter than stock and leaves a huge wheel gap!
looks great thougH
