I think it depends on the tire. I looked at Tire Rack for some 275's and they recommend 9"-11" rims.

I have used Zeix a lot for the last few years, they are cheap and good.

I just got these from MustangTuning.com:
4 Chrome Mustang S Style Wheel - 2005+ (18x9) 719.96
4 Sumitomo High Performance HTR Z II Tire (255/45-18) 664.00

Kinda cheap and free shipping-mounting-balancing. I found out that I needed to buy new lug nuts and they came way out of balance (or maybe they are not round) I have to re-balance them soon.

Thanks retro. I have Falken Zeix on my 2001 GT...it is a slightly different pattern though. They have been on for about 4 months now. They are better than the Toyo Pirenes (sp?) that came off of it. I might give them a shot.
How is the dry traction on them? I need bite!
