Default big in the back and small in the front

reading up on tire stuff. 255's in the back and 235's in the front. Does this do anything as far as handling or style? Or does it just look neato frito?

I have 275's in the back, and 255's up front. But 235's will work just as well. I have larger in the back to provide better grip for the TQ I am running. I have seen members do 17 or 18's in the back, with 275s and 16 or 17s up front, with 235 or 255's. Gives the car a muscle stance. Scrmings is setup this way.
