Default Lowering the California Special

I'd like to drop the car using FRPP springs but I'm a little concerned about the front air dam height. My understanding is that the CS is already 1.5" lower stock than a regular GT.

Anyone done this that can comment on the results?

Thanks!

I'm also concerned about that. If I lower my GT and get a CDC chin spoiler, I don't want to scape it off. I was thinking that I could lower just the rear with Roush rear springs, which are available seperately so you don't have to buy fronts. That would help level the wheel spacing with the fender flare. Others have done it with good looking results.

If the CS is already lowered by 1.5" then switching to those springs won't change anything. You're just swapping one lowering spring for another.

The CS chin spoiler is the only thing that is 1.5" lower. I'll added lower springs and other suspension parts to my CS very sucessfully. The chin spolier is low but the only thing I'll hit was a cementparking block. Hit it very lightly and just scratch the paint alittle and after rubbing compound it looked brand new. If you are careful you will have no worries.

Many thanks! My birthday order is already in (now it's just the waiting......)

Thinking about doing the 'LP001' package from BMR. Springs, Camber Bolts, Adj. Panhard, Upper Strut Mounts, Control Arm Relo Brackets. Add to that the obligatory D-Specs, solid upper control arm and adjustable lowers and I think I'm in business.

What did I miss? Maybe the panhard brace?
