a guy at the shop where i had my car tunedtold me when im ready he would let me use their shop with all the tools and only charge me half the price if id would help with the installation. sounds like a win win situation to me. half pricefor installation and i get to be hand on and learn.

Dude!
You areonelucky butt! Most shops are afraid to let folks behind the yellow line for fear that people will get hurtor worse, sue them. Take really good care of that relationship and buy them lunch or dinner when you are there at those times. Having accessto alift is a huge time an work saver and makes most suspensiontasks go much faster than working on the shop floor with a jack! Don't be shy step up and buy them food and drinks whenever possible and follow all of their safety and shoprules. Clean the tools you borrow before you put them back in the roll-away where they go. A full suspenion install on a a lift can take as little as 2 - 2 1/2 hours that would take almost twice as long on a garagefloor and even shorty headers are almost impossible without a lift. Foster that relationshp and you will be way ahead of the game, learning alot, making some new friends and having the satisfaction of having done the work on your car.
Cheers!
