any drawbacks with 20" rims?

If you are into performance, go 18" tops. If you are all about looks, get yourself some dubs son. Stock, or even slightly lowered, your baby should handle 20's fine without rubbing, etc. Just make sure to get the right offset, spacing, etc. IMHO

I think most of us will not be racing our stangs and 20's do look exquisit on these cars. So I say go for some 20's, but like others have said. If you're going to be racing then you probably shouldn't get anything bigger than an 18. However, you could get 20's and still keep your stock wheels so that you can still use them incase you do decide to race.

I ran 245/35/19's on my BMW 528 and bumps that had no effect on my 17's would dent my 19's. Not as much sidewall to absorb those little bumps, but they looked great. Sticking with the stock 18's on my Stang, but with 255/45/18 rubber. If I were to upgrade my rims it would be for width, not circumference.
