sticky tires
Im in the market for some new tires.I'm in college so im on a budget. Looking for some suggestions as to which tires hook up the best for the money paid. They need to fit factory 17" wheels. I do not care about anything but performance per dollar and a decent tread life, so any issues with road noise etc... need not be mentioned.

RE: sticky tires
Can you afford about $600? If your goal is better track times, Brenspeed.com sells a pair of M/T ET Street Slicks and a pair of 17" stock wheels for about $600. I bought them and couldn't be happier. I put them on when I go to the track and take them off when I leave.

RE: sticky tires
Honestly,
This is what I would do:
Nitto 555s 255/50/17
They will fit your stock 17x8 rims perfectly, same stock diameter tire.
Cost is less than $150 per tire from discount tire direct
Far and away the best tire for the money
