Will just lowering springs with no shocks really mess up my ride that bad?

RE: Will just lowering springs with no shocks really mess up my ride that bad?
And I'm the other way... I think the power is fine, but the dampers are not. To each his own, but I find I can use stability, handling and such more often than I can use more than 300 HP. My Camaro is a much quicker car, but I enjoy the Mustang more with good dampers (I didn't with the stock ones). Adequate is a matter of choice, but also of experience gained by being able to see and understand what damping does for the way a car drives.
It's not a matter of the stock parts wearing out, though similar. If they lack damping, they act like a "worn out" part to some degree. And because they are meant for stock springs they automatically lack damping for lowering springs. And US car companies never offer the type of firm damping the Europeans do to start with (read, the shocks are weaker to start).
