Does anyone have any pics of final job. Lke from the engine compartment side ! Is the steeda plate on top of engine compartment or Is the only sticking thru the 4 bolts and the sytrut bolt that is supposed to be torqued to 45 ft-lbs?

I'm in the process of installing them right now. Did drivers side yesterday. A bit of a learning curve........guess I was more worried about working on a compressed spring than the actual install. i put on Steeda ultra lite springs & pro action struts toped it off with the strut mounts. I plan on going out about noon cst..........Sunday......as soon as i get going i'll take pics. should be done by 2 at the latest. I'll post em or email to you

Hey ybnormal,

Just the bolts. The nicelogo in the top plate top plate gets hidden away...

Finished the Strut Mount project...........not bad at all took her out for a test drive. Front end alignment tomarrow. installed ultra lite lowering springs & pro action struts also. First pic. Pry rubber spring seat from stock upper strut mount. I cleaned it up a bit.
Second pic. Set New spring base into old spring seat. I had to use an adjustable plyers to get a good fit. The assembly looks crooked since the spring is still in the compressor.
Third....Whole assembly installed. nut torqued to 45 foot pounds.

Be sure to follow the instructions for location of components

last pic. Strut tower shot....notice the arrows in unused holes...use as a referance to center strut in strut tower. i was in the process of doing so when i took the picture.
have fun..........BE SAFE!!

Yes, they will groan a bit, need to settle in, just put a few miles and it will be ready to go!

Thanks vf96for the great pics. I appreciate the time you took for pics and response. And thanks red06 for the info. I thought I replied to this the other day but ?
I was unsure if the steeda logo was above the paint in the engine compartment. I see its not thanks again.

Verginiastang, I installed both the frpp springs and the steeda springs without the shocks or upper strut mounts and the alignment was off but very little each time. I am building a big suspension Idle cardboard temple in my room until I get it all together, Then install everything else at one time. 60 bucks a pop for alignment is just plain dumb (on my part) but I had to do something about the Truck look. I had to go to the steedas springsbecause the frpp springs were to lowwith my side exhaust. I am staying with the steeda suspension, I kinda like there stuff.

ybnormal I took mine Stang in for the alignment as I said i was. My Tech said after the lowering springs, struts AND the heavy duty mounts I'm very close to no more camber adjustment. I did buy a Steeda Camber Kit. I'm not installing it just yet. Maybe after driving season is over. A lot of work involved you have to grind out the two bottom holes on both struts. looks like a royal pain in the butt.
